Memorial Day Holocaust Presentation at WWII Museum Eldred Pa.
We were blessed to be a part of the official opening of the Holocaust Exhibit room at the WWII Museum in Eldred Pa. this past Memorial Day. We were participants in the parade, watched the Memorial ceremony on the school grounds and gave a lecture on the Holocaust including some about our book. We were also joined by Dr. Larry Lawson, President of Temple Beth El in Bradford Pa. He gave a brief presentation about a famous/yet relatively unknown (locally) Rabbi, Kurt Metzger, who was the last Rabbi of Nuremburg, Germany and led two congregations for many years in Bradford and Olean N.Y. He was a moving force to restore the ancestral home of Anne Frank. You will find links for more information in the next few days.
I will be working with the Museum in days ahead to help develop the Holocaust Exhibit further and possibly do more seminars that are Holocaust education related.
