Meeting D.K.Lubarsky and The St. Petersburg Holocaust Museum
On December 5, 2013 my wife Deborah and I met for the first time with D.K.Lubarsky and her husband Elliot at the St. Petersburg Fla. Holocaust Museum on the occasion of an exhibition of her sculptures which are in residence at the museum. This was our first ever meeting during the pre and post publication period our our book. We had a wonderful time and talked about some future projects including my play Chagrined. We spent the morning and much of the afternoon together at the museum and then I did an interview with Diana which will be posted right here as soon as I finish editing it. Some of Diana’s friends were there for a visit and I could see how she and they enjoyed being together. The dynamics of her pieces are what attracted me to them for use in the book, but seeing them on display was altogether another experience. Here is a sample.
Sadly, Victor could not be with us. He recently had to move from Florida to New York. However, I will be visiting him very soon.
